Privacy Policy
Zoco is operated by Zoopy SARL AU (Casablanca, Morocco), which is the data controller. For any question about your data, contact am@zoco.ma.
Your account details (name, email, phone, city); the listings, photos and messages you create; and basic usage data needed to run the service. For a car listing, the vehicle’s details — and, if you ask us to verify it, an image of your carte grise. If you choose optional identity verification, your national ID (CIN) or passport and a selfie.
To show your ads to buyers, let people contact you, keep the marketplace safe, prevent fraud, and — only if you opt in — award trust badges for verified documents and verified identity. We don’t sell your personal data.
These are optional and rely on your explicit consent. Identity verification (ID/passport + selfie) is carried out by our verification partner Didit; we keep only the pass/fail result, never your ID images or biometric data. A carte grise you upload is stored privately and seen only by our review team — it is never shown to buyers.
Your public listing details and display name are visible to other users; contact details only as you choose. To run Zoco we use trusted providers located outside Morocco — for database and file storage, hosting, and identity verification (Didit) — all of which process your data in the European Union, under law 09-08, based on your consent and with appropriate contractual safeguards. While our launch campaign is running, we also share data with Meta (Facebook) for advertising measurement — but only if you allow the "Marketing" category in Cookie settings. When you allow it and then sign up, we send Meta a hashed (not human-readable) version of your email or phone so we can measure which ad brought you to Zoco. We never send your raw details, and if you decline Marketing or make no choice we send Meta nothing. You can change this choice anytime in Cookie settings. This paragraph shows only while that campaign is active.
For as long as your account is active. Uploaded ID and carte grise images are removed once the check is complete — we keep only the verification result. You can delete your account and data from My Zoco → Settings.
Under Morocco’s data-protection law (09-08, overseen by the CNDP) you can access, correct, object to, or delete your personal data. Manage most of it in My Zoco → Settings, or contact us.
